England lost 4-1 to Germany. What a shame to those overpaid and overrated English players who were outplayed and outclassed by a young, sexy German side. Germany played stunning football. It was amazing to see how they combined on the field to produce their goals. I have no doubt that German players like Mesut Ozil, Thomas Muller, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Lukas Podolski will have agents knocking on their doors after the World Cup to give them big fat contracts from large clubs. Mesut Ozil was simply amazing! He was a nobody before the World Cup but things will change for him pretty soon. I’m a fan. Move aside Rooney and Cristiano to give way to a new star.
From what I read around the blogs, Chelsea happens to be heavily in favor of Uzil. I just hope that English football won’t spoil his game just like how it spoiled Michael Ballacks game (Just kidding).
So, Germany will proceed to the next round to meet either Argentina or Mexico. I believe Argentina will win against Mexico. However, I would have hoped that they met on the final, if they ever go through. England will have to do a lot of soul-searching from now on. I suggest that they revamp the entire system. They are just not good enough. Sorry England..
