It is certainly a scam. I bought it a few days ago and started with BBC daily news. It was a news video several years old, Tony Blair was still Prime Minister. I have tried for a refund ever since but they refuse with the most stupid arguments possible. 99% of the channels does not work at all.

I bought Satellite Direct a year ago and I’ve had no problems. You just have to dig into the software and learn how to use it before flying off the deep end and giving up. I watched plenty of Olympic coverage, as advertised, but I had to flip through the channels and sometimes settle for foreign language feeds. No problem. My friend got it recently and thought he was being scammed because it didn’t work well. Turns out his internet connection was too slow. He bumped up the speed and the software is working perfectly now.

You know why I’m here? Because I recommended this product to a friend… she did a google search and found this site. It was a very uncomfortable moment because my good, life-long friend thought I was trying to scam her!
How easy it would be for one disgruntled customer to make a series of alter egos and spam a complaint board.
The product works fine and does exactly what it advertises.
If these complaints are legit, maybe they have more to do with the salespeople who promised customers things that were above and beyond the product’s ability.
I don’t know, but from my first-hand experience, which is 100% satisfactory, I lean towards saying that this outpouring of complaints is coming from just one or two customers under various names who failed to properly learn the software and are now looking to ruin a company’s name.
It seems like Satellite Direct TV is not such a bad product from the positive comments on the site. The customers who purchased this product have different experiences on how the product works. You need to remember that TV to PC niche has many competitors and I’m not surprised if the poster who gave a bad comment on Satellite Direct happen to come from a rival company.
